Third practice

PROBLEM  / SOLUTION ESSAY

Global warming is a phenomenon that is destroying our planet little by little and it is mainly caused by human actions. It is one of the biggest  problems with which we live nowadays and it can get worse if we do not do anything quickly. What will happen if we do not try to stop it? It is probably floodings and huge innundations to happen and our planet will be destroyed. But, is there anything we could do to improve global warming? Of course, there are a lot of small solutions that can make the problem change.

As somebody that is always moving in the city, we could use public transport more frequently or go on foot. Less carbon dioxide is used, you can meet new people and, by foot, you are practicing sports. If you do not like these ideas, you could buy a car with an electric motor: it is less noisy, as confortable as the other and, sometimes, even cheaper! Another solution is to separate our waste and recycle. It is so useful and funny; you can prove to do it such as a game! It seems not to be too serious but if you take a shower with cold or warm water, it would help to reduce global warming. If you think, these solutions are not enough; here there is one more: change your typical bulbs and buy the ones that consume less. In addition, they illuminate as much as the others!

In a nutshell, as you can see there are many options in our hands to solve the problem. These are not all the solutions but if everyone of us starts moving and making small changes in our lives, there will be a notorious improvement. Consequently our planer will live for many more years. We must take care of it, let's save our plane!

Second practice

AN OUTLINE FOR AN ESSAY

Having good habits help us to have a happier life and to get all our goals.


1. Sports in our lives
  • Physically:
         - Sports make us stronger so we can feel more confortable with our body.
         - At the same time, we can lose weight and look better.
         - Practising sports twice a week at least, we can avoid some illness like obesity.
  • Mental:
         - While doing a good training, we forget about our problems.
         - We renovate energies. We get into a more positive world.
         - It helps us to clarify our thoughts.



2. Avoiding bad habits (sedentary life, smoking, alcohol, ...) will provide us with:

  • Healthier life:
         - Also avoiding dangerous illness such as cancer.
         - Our defenses and neurons will not be killed.
  • Positive aspects:
         - If we are able to say "no" to drugs, we will obtain more will power.
         - We will be a good example for other people with bad habits problems.

3. A good diet is an important factor for our happiness and healthier life
  • Our body needs certain nutrients and vitamins that are requiered for a good development.
         - Eating five times a day.
         - Eating all types of food.
         - Avoiding fast food and similarities.
  • A good development means to feel good and out of problems
         - We will improve our physicall and mental health.


4. To be happy and healthy, it is necessary to follow a little bit difficult process, but in the end, we will see that we are able to live better and have better relationships and we will be proud of ourselves.




The Lion King



I am sure that you have seen this classic of Disney! It is one of my favourite movies of Walt Disney since my childhood. This movie is loosely based on the tragedy of Hamlet, by William Shakespeare and, as we all know, it revolves around a little lion. Simba, as he is called, learns which his place is in the life cycle in the savannah, fighting against some obstacles until he turns into the legitimate king.




The soundtrack, composed by Hans Zimmer, won a Tony as well as the Academy Award for best original soundtrack. The film also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture. Always that I want to relax, I listen to its songs: Circle of life, I just can’t wait to be king, They live in you… Of course, I recommend you to enjoy the music score as I do! And remember: HAKUNA MATATA!
